Your Andover Property
Understand the Water Before Choosing a Drain.
A wet Andover yard does not automatically need the same drainage system as the next property. Elevated Earthwork starts with the source, site elevations, and available destination for collected water, then discusses grading and excavation suited to the work.
Separate surface runoff from wet soil
Water moving over a lawn and water held within the soil can require different collection methods. Note whether you see a moving flow, isolated puddles, or a broad area that remains soft. That information helps guide the site discussion before a particular drain type is selected.
Evaluate the destination early
A pipe is only part of a drainage solution. The outlet elevation, available space, soil conditions, and surrounding improvements all matter. Ask where collected water is expected to go and what makes that destination workable. Planning the destination early can influence both the layout and the excavation scope.
Account for restoration and later access
Drainage components may need inspection and cleaning, while disturbed soil may need topsoil and lawn preparation. Discuss those needs before installation. A system should have a clear finish plan and accessible components where maintenance is expected, rather than disappearing beneath a yard with no practical handoff.
