Your Farmington Property
Plan the Groundwork Before the Addition.
Excavation for a Farmington property starts with more than a hole in the ground. Equipment access, material handling, underground utilities, and the finished yard all deserve a place in the plan. Elevated Earthwork helps connect site preparation with the next stage of construction.
Fit excavation into the larger project
For an addition, outbuilding, or other improvement, start with the proposed footprint and required elevations. We discuss access routes, working space, excavation limits, and how soil will be handled. Sharing plans early helps identify where excavation and grading must coordinate with the builder rather than leaving those decisions until equipment arrives.
Look beyond the immediate building footprint
Farmington extends along the Farmington River, but conditions at an individual parcel still need direct evaluation. A river-valley location alone does not identify the soil, water level, or drainage solution on your lot. Our planning focuses on the actual work area, nearby grades, and the route water can take after construction.
Restore the route as well as the work area
Trucks and equipment need a path into the site. Include that path in the restoration conversation along with trenches and excavated areas. Lawn preparation, driveway-edge repair, topsoil, and finish grading should be identified in the scope so you know what the property will look like when the earthwork phase is complete.
