Your Granby Property
A Practical Plan for Land and Access.
Granby sits on Connecticut’s north-central border with Massachusetts. For property owners planning earthwork here, Elevated Earthwork offers excavation, grading, drainage, and preparation for useful outdoor space, with the scope based on the actual parcel and its access.
Think through the equipment route
For work set back from the road, the approach can be as important as the excavation area. Discuss turning space, gates, soft ground, and where trucks can load or unload. An estimate should account for reaching the site safely and handling material without treating the access route as an afterthought.
Coordinate clearing with the final grade
Removing vegetation does not automatically create a level, well-drained area. We look at the intended use and how much elevation change it may require. Where your goal is a lawn extension, pad, or improved route, clearing limits should support that plan and the work that follows.
Decide how excavated material will be handled
Some projects require material to leave the property; others may have an appropriate use for suitable soil within the planned work. Discuss that decision before excavation begins. Material quality, available space, and final grades determine whether reuse is sensible or whether hauling and replacement material should be included.
